Join us on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 4:00 pm (pst)/7:00 pm (est) for our Lighthouse Music Sessions webinar entitled, “Worship Leader/Musician Insights” featuring Minister Tony Wilkins.
Tony Wilkins, is a native of Southern California.
He has been performing music professionally for 30 years and has been musically
linked to many Political, Scholastic and Corporate Organizations such as the NAACP, Urban League, Jesse Jackson, Desmond Tutu and Crenshaw High School, his Alma mater.
As
a musician, Tony has been involved in implementing and developing strong
Leadership to Music Ministries throughout Greater Los Angeles. He currently serves as Director of Music for the New
Creation Christian Faith Church in the City of Los Angeles with Apostle Will Wheat; Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor
Edward Hill; Southern Missionary Baptist Church with
Pastor Xavier Thompson; and Musician Worship Leader for Dr.Michelle Corral. He previously served as the Director of Music at Full Harvest International Church with Bishop Clarence E. McClendon.
As a
songwriter, his songs have impacted a new era in Gospel Music. He is one of
the original founders of The LA Mass Choir, composing songs such as “Love Lifted Me” and “That’s When You
Blessed Me” and "Shout Hallelujah". As a highlight, Tony composed the song,"Grace", recorded by Bishop TD Jakes and The Potter's House Mass Choir and The Soweto Gospel Choir of South Africa, who received a 2011 Grammy nomination in the Best Traditional World Music Album category.
As a seasoned worship leader, musician and songwriter, Tony will release keys of wisdom and encouragement to the music community. Registration is FREE.
